With more than 18 years of professional experience across the board, SW aims for sharing his wealth of knowledge and know-how with Kakao Ventures and portfolio companies to maximize their value.
Jun concentrates on giving early stage support to consumer, internet, game, and tech startups at Kakao Ventures. With his many years of experience as an engineer, Jun is well-versed in the rapidly evolving technology of the startup world. He is able to be an insightful discussion partner to startups on not only on business and management issues, but also on technical issues.
Brian truly believes in its core philosophy that startups are the process of solving problems of the world and ultimately enhancing the quality of life. Jacob is in charge of making investment decisions in the gaming industry. Before joining Kakao Ventures, Jacob gained vast experience in the online and mobile gaming field for eight years while being in the front line of the industry. Based on his experience by working as a business developer and publisher along with his experience and expertise from the Korean and Chinese market, Jacob is a supporter for many startups in the corresponding field.
Andy is responsible for working with startups across Asia and the United States. His areas of focus include but are not limited to computer systems, consumer internet services, and machine learning. Before coming to Kakao Ventures, Andy was a software engineer across various industries, including high-frequency trading, mobile payments, digital media, and e-commerce.
Dan is responsible for investing and managing startups especially in the mobile technology area. Before joining Kakao Ventures, he gained experience as a business developer in the Mobility Division at Kakao Corporation. He is interested in teams that have deep insights in offline and data business.
